People Living With Disability

Phanicey has led by example in championing and advocating for the rights of physically challenged persons in Kakamega County and beyond. Recently Phanicey Foundation partnered with PARTNERS FOR CARE-USA, to donate assorted mobility devices to the disabled group in Mbanacho village in the larger Bungoma County.

Political & boundaries conflict resolutions

Civic education society capacity building-exercise looks at building and strengthening the organizational capacities of the civil society organizations (CBOs, SHGs, producer organizations etc).

Building and strengthening alliances between civil society actors; strengthening citizenship.

Advocacy programs focused on changing policies and practices, thus improving the context for agriculture and rural livelihoods e.g. land rights and leadership mentorship programs.

Curbing gender based and domestic violence

Phanicey Foundation under PENDO LA MAMA INITIATIVE has engaged women in micro-finance programs such as table banking to improve their income generating and savings skills. Through such it has led to birth of small indoor farming practices such as poultry farming, horticultural, post-harvest practices etc. This has gone along to bring bread and butter unto the family table hence reduction of domestic based violence.

Community Youths, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Solutions

Community capacity building in partnerships under Technical Vocational Education & Training (TVET)

Through community cultural talent search in the following:-

a) Acting & film production using local cultural sceneries

b) Under the GIRL’S FRIEND KENYA INITIATIVE, girls above 18 years and below 24 years are trained in tailoring and fashion designs. The importation of this innovate is to keep them busy adopt for the a career while protecting them against early pregnancy.
